Topographical Information

Location: Municipality of San Francisco

The slope in this municipality ranges from 0-30 to 18% and above. The elevated portions of the municipality are Barangays Cawayan I, Cawayan II and Huyon-huyon having the slope of 15% and above. The Mulanay Watershed Forest Resrve which is located in Cawayan II has a general feature of moderately steep to very steep. The average slope is pegged at 40%.

Climate Type:

Location: Municipality of San Andres

The sedimentary formation occurs in the northern and southern part of the island, where generally consist of basement rocks, sometimes with overlying clastic rocks and limestone. They are deeply eroded, exposing an old erosion surface, which used to be a peneplain in the past. The Northern and Southern part of the island is made-up of limestone ridge that appears to be a fossilized coral reefs.
